General description: Shamir Optical, a global leader in the ophthalmic industry, is looking for an experienced System Design Engineer to join our new R&D center located in Haifa. This is a great opportunity which allows you to combine technological research & analysis of next generation products, with a strong connection to business and marketing aspects, and a full product lifecycle overview. Responsibilities: • Lead the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary systems consisting of electro-optic-mechanical hardware, custom firmware and multi-platform software. • Work closely with internal and external teams to define hardware specification and software API for eye-tracking solutions. • Plan and drive research lab hands on activities – such as prototyping, platforms bring up, performance testing, etc. • Generate end to end system analysis and research results reports. • This is a full-time position, hybrid work from Haifa. Working in Shamir's HQ at Kibbutz Shamir from time to time.
