JOB DESCRIPTION:
The company is an early-stage startup with a unique and broadly applicable biopharmaceutical technology, inspired by natural drug-delivery mechanisms to promote brain and cognitive health.

The VP R&D is expected to lead the R&D efforts for the design and development of an innovative nanotechnology-based nutraceutical product, all the way from a conceptual idea and into a nutraceutical product ready to launch into the food supplement market.

Responsibilities:
• Planning and execution of all R&D activities.
• Hands-on experience involving bench-work and wet-lab hours as needed.
• Managing and monitoring sub-contractors.
• Building and ensuring a successful development plan on schedule, per product specifications, and budget frame.
• Implement quality SOPs in the development process.
• Work closely with Regulatory Affairs consultants and authorities in offering all necessary data/input for regulatory submissions to the FDA and EFSA.
• Manage and maintain the patent portfolio.
• Support all other marketing, quality, and regulatory activities.
